Brothers Sentenced to Prison for Stealing Catalytic Converters
An off-duty lieutenant from the Cook County Sheriff's Office reportedly saw two Bridgeview men hanging around McCarthy Farms. Orland Park police determined they were stealing catalytic converters
Two Bridgview brothers were sentenced to three years in state prison for stealing catalytic converters in Orland Park.
Nicolas Orbeck, 31, and Philip Orbeck, 28, both of the 7700 block of West 81st Street, pleaded guilty to felony theft on May 9, according to Orland Park police.
On March 25, an off-duty lieutenant from the Cook County Sheriff's Office saw two suspicious people at McCarthy Farms, 10301 W. 159th St., police said. Orland Park police responded and found the Orbecks.

Police determined that they took a catalytic converter from a vehicle at McCarthy Farms and another one from a Village of Orland Park Recreation Department bus that was parked at the Orland Park Sportsplex, 11351 W. 159th St., according to a release.
