Your Car, Bumper to Bumper Helps Patrons Learn About Car Buying and Maintenance

Registration is now open for Your Car, Bumper to Bumper, an informative program designed to help community members become knowledgeable, confident car owners and consumers. The program will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m. in Meeting Room 104 at the Orland Park Public Library.

Presented by retired college automotive instructor Bill O’Connell, this program will break down the essentials of car ownership in a clear, approachable way. Attendees will learn practical tips for buying a car and maintaining the one they already own, including understanding fuel requirements, dashboard warning lights, tire pressure monitoring systems, emissions testing, and how to find a trustworthy mechanic. O’Connell will also discuss basic do-it-yourself repairs and demonstrate how tools like Google and YouTube can be valuable resources for car owners.
