Alleged Shoplifter Tells Police 'You Got Me': Blotter

Banned From Mall
Raul M. Garcia, 22, of the 15000 block of 80th Avenue in Orland Park, was charged with criminal trespass, according to a report. Garcia reportedly is banned from the Orland Square Mall, 288 Orland Square Dr. He was arrested at the Apple store, inside the mall. He was booked and given a March 29 Bridgeview court date.

"You Got Me"
Richard A. Hansen, 52, of the 1900 block of Ridgemore Drive in Bartlett, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. Police said Hansen was spotted walking north from the Jewel-Osco, 9350 159TH Ave. When stopped, Hansen reportedly told police “You got me” and handed over a pair of jeans, two shirts and two pairs of socks that were tucked inside his coat. Police spoke with a witness who had told the store manager he saw Hansen leave with the clothing. The witness then followed Hansen. The total value of the clothing is $206.63. Hansen was booked and given a March 6 Bridgeview court date.

Criminal Damage To Metal Table
Safa M. Alrub, 26, of the 11000 block of Haley Court in Orland Park, was charged with criminal damage to property, according to a report. Police said Alrub was being held in Orland Park Police Department when he used a metal aglet from his sweatshirt drawstring to carve “Safa” into the metal table. He told police he made the carving without thinking.
