Bowling Buddy Called Cops on Drunken Pal: Police

The allegedly intoxicated bowler was charged with driving under the influence.

ORLAND PARK, IL — A Chicago man was charged with driving under the influence after his bowling buddy called the cops on him, police said.

David Deckman, 56, was pulled over and arrested after he rolled away from Orland Bowl shortly before noon on April 10, police said.

An unidentified bowler “called to report his bowling friend David Deckman was drunk and walking out of Orland Bowl,” police said.

“He said David was pulling out beer cans from his bowling bag and he was drinking them,” according to a police report. “He was also slurring his words.”

The unnamed friend “further stated David also ordered beer from the bar and was drinking the beer,” police said. “He then was falling down and now walking out to his tan GMC Yukon.”

The cops stopped Deckman near the corner of 153rd Street and Harlem Avenue. He was taken into custody and his Yukon was towed.
