A woman inadvertently pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake, sending her car into the front of the building.

ORLAND PARK, IL — No one was injured Thursday afternoon when a car crashed into a post office in Orland Park, officials said.
An elderly female driver outside the United States Post Office, 9500 W. 144th Place, mistakenly pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake, driving her car through the front of the post office building just before 2 p.m., said Orland Fire Protection District Spokesperson Ray Hanania.
The vehicle caused extensive damage to the building. The driver was not injured; no injuries were reported by anyone inside the facility, Hanania said.
