Bernardin Teacher On Leave After Student Asked To 'Rub, Scratch' Back: School
The teacher reportedly asked students to rub or scratch her back, school officials said in a letter to families earlier this week.

ORLAND HILLS, IL — A teacher at Cardinal Bernardin School in Orland Hills has been placed on administrative leave amidst allegations of "inappropriate behavior," school administration said in a letter to families earlier this week.
The teacher—who Patch will not name publicly unless criminal charges are filed—allegedly asked a student to "rub/scratch" her back, according to reports to the school administration, officials said. The staff member is listed as a librarian and seventh grade social studies teacher at the school, according to its website.
The conduct would not align with Archdiocesan Standards of Behavior, the school said in the letter dated March 18.
