Dave and Buster’s Opens in Orland Park Saturday
First southland location opens south of Orland Square Mall with special festivities and fundraisers.

The new 25,000 square-foot Dave and Busters entertainment complex in Orland Park will hold its grand opening Saturday.
The location at 49 Orland Square Drive features a sports bar along with arcade games, billiards, shuffleboard, carnival-style games, skill games, simulators, virtual reality and other entertainment, according to a company release.
“Dave & Buster’s is unique because we appeal to many different audiences,” said manager Mike McCormick. “Families, sports lovers and young adults alike will all have a great time at D&B because we strive to deliver fun for all. We have also added many new menu items including a gourmet burger line, adult snow cones and pretzel dogs.”

A ribbon cutting will be held 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the Orland Park location. A portion of proceeds from Saturday’s opening will be donated to Do it Stevie’s Way, a charity in honor of 17-year-old Steven Michael Bajenski of Mokena, a promising athlete who died from heart complications. Steven’s father Mark will be cutting the ribbon.
On Sunday, Mark Grote and former Chicago Bear Steve “Mongo” McMichael from The Score AM 670 will broadcast a two-hour pre-game show before the Bears face St. Louis. Dave and Buster’s will also make a $10,000 donation to the team’s Bears Care charity on Sunday.

“We really want to give sports fanatics the ultimate gaming experience,” McCormick said. “We have flat screen televisions throughout the bar to watch your game of choice. Only a few feet away we house hundreds of games to play in groups or with your date to really engage and have fun together.”
The location is expected to have brought about 200 jobs to the area while gearing up for the opening.
“As for our staff, we employee the friendliest people who help to build an exciting atmosphere at our new location – for families, sports enthusiasts and young adults seeking a fun night out,” McCormick said.
