DUI Charges, Drug Paraphernalia and More: Blotter

MONDAY, MARCH 25
DUI Charge for New Lenox Woman
Brandy L. Dennehy, 32, of the 2200 block of Rivendell Drive, New Lenox, was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use, according to a report. He was stopped at about 1:08 a.m. after his black Cadillac was spotted weaving on the road near the intersection of 167th Street and Wolf Road. Police noticed a strong smell of alcohol coming from her breath. She was arrested after taking field sobriety tests. She also took a breath test while in police custody. Dennehy is due in Bridgeview court on May 7.

Drug Paraphernalia Charge
Cory D. Hall, 22, of the 15500 block of Homan, Markham, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a rear registration plate light and driving with a suspended or revoked license, according to a report. Hall was stopped at about 12:41 a.m. near 9100 159th St., when an officer noticed the rear registration light was out. Police noticed a smell of marijuana coming from the car and found a grinder in the glove box. Hall is due in Markham court on May 15.
Outstanding Warrant
Timothy J. Hampton-Cofield, 21, of the 700 block of Burnham Drive, University Park, was arrested on an outstanding Orland Park traffic warrant for underage drinking, according to a report. He had been arrested by Illinois State Police and turned over to Orland Park’s custody. He is due in Markham court on May 7.

Orland Park Driver Charged With DUI
Marie E. Dorans, 48, of the 11800 block of Windermere Court, Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and speeding, according to a report. Police tried to stop Dorans at about 8:13 p.m. in the 8700 block of 143rd Street for speeding. She reportedly didn’t slow down for several blocks. During the traffic stop, an officer noticed an odor of alcohol when she spoke. She was arrested after being asked to perform field sobriety tests.
