Fallen Trooper's Family Thanks Community For Support, Kindness: Letter
The family of Orland Park man and fallen trooper Clay Carns has issued a note of gratitude to the community and supporters.

Submitted by the family of fallen Illinois State Trooper Clay Carns. Carns died in December 2024 after being struck by a vehicle while clearing debris from the road.
To everyone who showed up, called, texted, prayed, sent a gift, donation, card, food, a hugâthank you! We see you all and feel the support. We love and appreciate every single thing done for our family during this extremely difficult time. The amount of love and generosity we have seen over the last few months has reminded us of the good in the world.
Every act of kindness has warmed our hearts and made us feel very blessed. Our communities have shown up and make us proud of where we came from.
