Ice Skating, Bonfire Nights At Orland's Winter Wonderland
The ice rink is open through Feb. 25. Bonfires held Friday through Sunday evenings, and other specified dates in January.
ORLAND PARK, IL — As the holidays wind down but winter break continues, Orland Park keeps its Winter Wonderland ice rink at Centennial Park open for use through Feb. 25, with bonfires some nights through Jan. 8.
The ice rink and warming house at 15600 West Ave. is open through Feb. 25, weather permitting. Bonfires are Friday through Sunday evenings, 3 to 6 p.m., with additional fires planned on holiday season dates. The last bonfire is Jan. 8.
The rink is open during park hours, with the park closing at 10:30 p.m. A warming house is open only during posted hours. Skaters will not be able to warm up or rent skates during the hours that the warming house is closed

Some must-knows before you go:
- Skaters may skate for free with their own skates from dawn until the warming house closes.
- Skate Rentals $3 per person available during warming house hours.
- FREE Skate aides/walkers are available for use at the rink any time the warming house is open. First come, first serve.

- Monday-Friday: 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
- Saturday: 12 p.m. - 7 p.m.
- Sunday: 12 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Holiday Season Hours
- December 31: 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
- January 1: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- January 2-5: 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
- January 8: 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
- January 15: 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
- February 19: 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
BONFIRES
Friday through Sunday evenings 3 to 6 p.m., but also on dates specified below:
- December 28
- January 2-4
- Jan. 8
RINK RULES AND BASIC INFO:
- Children 9 years of age and under must have adult supervision.
- No one is allowed on the ice while resurfacing is in progress.
- For safety, no one is allowed on the ice without ice skates.
- Figure skating spins and techniques will only be permitted when there are 30 or fewer skaters on the ice.
- Only ice skating is permitted on the ice rink. Hockey is not allowed at any time.
- Young skaters and beginners should remain inside blue circle.
- Please stay on the matting while wearing skates.
- Violation of these rules may result in dismissal from the park.
- Skaters with their own skates may use ice rink daily beginning at sunrise. Rink closes when warming house closes.
- Figure skates available in sizes Youth 8 to Adult 14
- Hockey skates available for rent in Adult sizes 7-14
- Renters must turn in a photo ID for equipment usage (Driver’s License or Recreation Department ID)
- FREE Skate aides/walkers are available for use at the rink any time the warming house is open. First come, first serve.
Rink Closing
The ice rink will be closed if more than one inch of snow accumulates on the ice and maintenance crews are not available for removal, or in the case of extreme temperatures. The rink will also be closed during resurfacing.
