ORLAND HILLS, IL — Joey's Red Hots is ready to roll in Orland Hills, with its opening set for Monday, Feb. 26.

Taking over the former Chicken-N-Spice space at 9135 W. 159th St. in Orland Hills, Joey's Restaurant Group Owner Anthony Nardo jumped at the opportunity.

Nardo and his business partner Nick Iozzo scooped up the property shortly after the fast food chicken spot shuttered in October. The newest Joey's location resembles the one in New Lenox, Nardo said, and will offer a sit-down restaurant with a drive-thru.

"The opportunity presented itself, the building was for sale," Nardo said. "I truly believe it’s a great location.

"We are really excited about this location."

The Orland Hills location is the most recent added to Nardo's roster. Nardo, 37, also has locations in Orland Park, New Lenox, Chicago, Crest Hill, and Riverdale. The Orland Park location—17400 Wolf Rd.—will remain open, Nardo said.

Nardo said in December that he was excited to open in Orland Hills.

"Orland Hills has welcomed us with open arms," he said.

Expansion would not be possible without the support of his staff and team, he added.

"It’s not a corporate setting, it’s more family friendly," Nardo said. "When customers come in there, they’re treated as family. That’s something we really pride ourselves on."

Joey's Orland Hills' first day open is Monday, Feb. 26. Hours of operation will be 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
