LaGrange Road Work Starting May 6

The Illinois Department of Transportation pushed back the date from May 1 where they will begin replacing medians along the road and other work.

Beginning May 6, 2013, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) contractor, D Construction, will begin tree removal, median removal, temporary pavement construction and drainage improvements along LaGrange Road.

Both night time and day time work operations are expected with intermittent lane closures northbound and southbound along the median.  Lane closures are not permitted between the hours of 2:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Travel lanes will be shifted in the area just south of 153rdStreet to accommodate the large drainage structure work in this area.

Work will begin south of 153rd Street and progress north. This includes saw cutting along the median with median removal starting the week of May 6th. There will be no access to the median permitted until the temporary pavement is constructed. Material and equipment deliveries can be expected during the day in preparation for night time work.
