Learn About the History of Islam

Starting with one person in the 7th century A.D., Islam now has over a billion followers around the world.

In order to help build a basic vocabulary about Islam among people who may not be too familiar, the Orland Park Public Library is hosting a presentation about the religion.  The presentation will “summarize the major phases of its development across medieval and modern periods,” according to the library’s event calendar listing.

The seminar begins at 7 p.m. Food will be provided by the Grapevine of Orland Park.
