OFPD hosts its annual Open House on Saturday, June 28
The Orland Fire Protection District will host its annual Open House on Saturday June 28 beginning at 11 am at the Fire District Training Center, 10728 W 163rd St, Orland Park.
The event features live demonstrations of situations firefighters often face from fighting fires, to rescues of people in need, plus a full display of their fire equipment.

This is a community event put on by the Orland Fire Protection District, IL and they have an amazing line up for the kids and adults. Firemen/women putting on demonstrations of: burn/fire, car extractions, fire hoses, ladders, fire trucks, etc.
The Orland Fire Protection District has recently purchased 1/2 dozen "Ben Bags" which are bags in the ambulances/fire trucks specifically for Autistic kids/adults (sensory products).

Firefighters will simulate emergency situations including rescuing individuals from vehicle accidents using the “Jaws of Life,” conducting a “Side by Side” burn showing how sprinkler systems assist in quickly preventing fires from spreading, demonstrating the Fire Department’s Scuba team, and more.
Partners will have information tables including from the Cook County Sheriff's Office, Project Fire Buddies, the Orland Fire Cadets, the Senior Advisory Council, the Orland Park Police Department which works in direct cooperation to save lives and respond to emergencies.
Government agencies expected to participate include the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, the Orland Park Police and more.
Free refreshments and hot dogs, educational games for children, and information on home and business safety.
