Orland Nonprofit's Faith Walk Aims To Inspire, Support Those In Need

ORLAND PARK, IL — A local nonprofit will soon host an event aimed at bringing together individuals of all faiths and backgrounds for a day of connection and inspiration.

Orland Park-based The Servants Project has announced its inaugural Faith Walk fundraising event, aimed at supporting and uplifting the local community and the surrounding areas.

"This event will bring together individuals of all faiths and backgrounds for a day of inspiration, hope, and charity," organizers said in a press release.

Scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 20 at 14750 Ravinia Ave. at 10 a.m., the fundraiser will feature a scenic walk through John Humphrey Trail, with inspiring speeches from diverse leaders, and opportunities for participants to connect and share in their faith journey.

The event aims to raise funds to support elementary and middle school students with tutoring scholarships, grieving mothers with comfort care packages and inclement weather housing for those in need. The Servants Project is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to supplying relief and aid to the grieving, homeless, hungry, impoverished and undereducated.

"We are thrilled to launch our first Faith Walk fundraiser and invite anyone with a dream in their heart to come out and join us for some motivation, inspiration, food, fun and lots of vendor shopping," said Cyndee Harris, Founder of The Servants Project.

"This event is not just a walk, but a symbolic gesture of faith and a fulfilling way to come together and support a mission that will be a lifeline that affects many families in need."

Participants are encouraged to register for the Faith Walk as a participant/walker for $25, vendor for $50, or support by donation.

"Your gift of goods, services, or monetary contributions will make an immediate and meaningful impact in the lives of those facing challenges," Harris said in a release. "Every step taken, every person encouraged, and every dollar raised will make a difference in supporting The Servant's Project mission of supplying relief and aid to the grieving, homeless and undereducated.
