Orland Park Announces Live Tree/Wreath Pick Up & Lights Recycling

Live Christmas tree and wreath collection in the village will be offered the first two full weeks of January.

ORLAND PARK, IL – Live Christmas tree and wreath collection in the Village of Orland Park will be offered the first two full weeks of January, the weeks of January 7 and January 14.

Residents must remove all decorations and leave the tree and wreaths unbagged at the curb on their regular garbage pick-up days. Trees six feet or taller must be cut in half.

No longer needed or working holiday lights, LED lights and cords are being collected by the village’s Recreation Department through January 28, 2019.

Unbagged lights and cords may be dropped off for recycling at Recreation Administration, 14600 South Ravinia Avenue and the Frederick T. Owens Village Hall on week days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Drop off is available at the village’s Sportsplex on week days from 5:30 a.m. until 10 p.m., Saturdays from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Lights may also be dropped off at the Franklin E. Loebe Recreation Center, 14650 South Ravinia Avenue, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 1 p.m. until 9 p.m., respectively.

Lights and cords are also being collected at the village’s Orland Park Health and Fitness Center, 15430 West Avenue, Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. until 10 p.m., Saturday from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sunday 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
