Orland Park To Celebrate Veterans With Several Planned Events

New this year, Orland Park will host "Veterans' Tuesdays" in the park at Village Center starting June 1, officials announced Wednesday.

ORLAND PARK, IL — To honor the brave men and women who've served this country, Orland Park officials announced Wednesday that the village has plans to host Veterans' Tuesdays in the park at Village Center starting next month.

According to village officials, this is an opportunity for veterans, their spouses and families and all patriots to enjoy camaraderie, free entertainment and activities in a relaxing, social outdoor setting.

Food and beverage will also be available for purchase. Veterans and their families are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Here's a lineup of the upcoming events:

June 1: Celebrating All Veteran Generations
Entertainment: Peter Militec Music (variety piano)

June 15: Celebrating WW II & Korean War Veteran Generations
Entertainment: Sweet Reminder Duo (Andrew Sisters Musical Revue)

July 6: Celebrating Vietnam Veteran Generation
Entertainment: My Dad's Cover Band (Variety)

July 20: Celebrating Global War On Terror Veteran Generations
Entertainment: Five Guys Named Moe (Variety)

Each event will take place from 6 p.m. until dusk and is located at 14750 S. Ravinia Ave. in Orland Park.
