Orland Park Gets New Sweet Spot With Great American Cookies

ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Park this week welcomed a new cookie business with a well-known sweet treat—the Original Cookie Cake.

Locals can now enjoy desserts that hit the sweet spot, including a variety of fresh-baked cookies and create-your-own cookie cakes at Great American Cookies. Owner Mashoor Banyata opened the location Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Great American Cookies is known as the creator of the Original Cookie Cake, but also has earned a reputation for its chocolate chip cookie recipe dating back to 1977, according to a release. The For guests craving more, they can enjoy a deliciously rich brownie, or a "Double Doozie"— delectable icing sandwiched between their favorite cookies.

The Orland Park Great American Cookies is located at 804 Orland Square Drive, Unit H02A, and is open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Great American Cookies has nearly 400 stores around the country.
