Orland Park Girl Dies After Car Accident
A 17-year-old girl, who was struck by a car Friday in Olympia Fields, died from injuries Monday afternoon, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

An Orland Park teenager died Monday afternoon after she was struck by a car in Olympia Fields early Friday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Rosabell Gutierrez, 17, died while being treated at Stroger Hospital at 3:31 p.m. Monday, according to the medical examiner's office.
The Olympia Fields Police Department were called about a vehicle crash in the 3600 block of Lincoln Highway around 5 a.m. Friday. Officers found that Gutierrez was walking in the roadway, and was struck by a car, according to a release from the Olympia Fields Police Department.

She was first taken to St. James Hospital before being airlifted to Stroger.
Officers later found that she was at a party in Park Forest before the accident with Lemanuel J. Pitts, 21, of the 100 block of Illinois Street in Park Forest, according to the release. Pitts was charged with providing liquor to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

As of 2 p.m. Monday, no additional charges were filed against Pitts and Gutierrez's condition had not changed since Friday, Olympia Fields Police Chief John Krull said.
