Orland Park Police Blotter: Flipped Car, Birds in the Air and Banging a Cell Door
Orland Park police reports: July 28-31

TUESDAY, JULY 31
Two Birds
Police pulled over a car for driving 60 mph in a 45 mph zone, crossing over the center line multiple times and changing lanes without signaling, around 1:40 a.m. near 159th Street and LaGrange Road. The driver’s breath smelled like alcohol, she slurred her speech, was argumentative and failed field sobriety tests, police said. While she was processed, she struggled with officers and flipped two middle fingers at one of them, according to the report. Amber N. Signore, 23, of the 200 block of Nebraska Street in Frankfort, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, improper lane use and failure to signal.

Yelling, Banging, Driving
Police were called to Rokwelz Bar Meets Grill about a fight around 1:10 a.m. that left one man unconscious for a short period of time. A silver BMW was seen driving fast out of the plaza where Rokwelz is located, and police later went to the registered owner’s address, where the car was seen parked with the engine running, police said. The driver’s breath smelled like alcohol and he later failed field sobriety tests, police said. He also yelled and banged on cell doors while in custody, according to the report. Ryan R. Prendergrast, 26, of the 9900 block of 153rd Street in Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Flipped
Police were called about a one-car accident on Golf Road around 2:30 a.m. The officers found a black Mercedes flipped upside down in the middle of the street with the driver’s side door open, police said. A woman was seen standing about 15 feet away from the car, and said she didn’t know what happened, police said. The officer smelled alcohol on her breath, and her eyes were red and glassy, according to the report. Mary J. Sexauer, 56, of the 14700 block of Golf Road in Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
