Orland Park Police Blotter: Trespassing to Eat Taco Bell in a Locker Room

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 23
Locker Room Taco Bell
Police were called to Lifetime Fitness about a former member put on notice not to return to the gym who was found inside the premises around 12:40 a.m. Gym employees found the man in the men’s locker room sitting and eating Taco Bell, police said. The responding officer asked the man if he knew he wasn’t supposed to be in the gym and he said yes, according to the report. Justin A. Jackson, 21, of the 17000 block of Auburn Ridge Road in Lockport, was charged with criminal trespass to property.

Roll Stop
Police pulled over a car for rolling through a red light while turning south on to John Humphrey Drive from 143rd Street around 12:40 a.m. The driver’s breath smelled like alcohol, his speech was slurred, he admitted to drinking and refused to take field sobriety tests, police said. David W. Goshen, 36, of the 16200 block of Hawthorne Drive in Orland Hills, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and disobeying a traffic control light.
Domestic Battery
Police were called about a domestic dispute in the 9800 block of El Cameno Re’al Drive around 12:30 a.m. A woman said a man struck her in the face after a brief argument, which left a visible red mark on her left cheek and a scratch below her left eye, police said. A witness told police a similar story, according to the report. Alejandro F. Dezdha, 32, of the 15100 block of El Cameno Terrace in Orland Park, was charged with domestic battery.

SUNDAY, JAN. 20
Warrant Arrest
Police saw a car stopped in the left turn lane of southbound LaGrange Road at 143rd Street around 3:35 p.m. While checking the driver’s records, the officer found the driver’s license was suspended and he had an active warrant out for his arrest, police said. Jose Yanez Jr., 33, of the 5100 block of Lockwood Avenue in Chicago, was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant for driving under the influence, and was charged with driving with a suspended license.
THURSDAY, JAN. 17
Drifting
Police pulled over a truck that crossed from the curbside lane over the median line into the oncoming traffic lane in the 16200 block of LaGrange Road around 11:50 p.m. The driver’s breath smelled like alcohol, he failed field sobriety tests and did not produce an insurance card for the truck, police said. Peter Perez-Serena, 44, of the 19500 block of Mayfield Place in Tinley Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving an uninsured vehicle, driving in the wrong lane and improper lane use.
