Orland Park Police Department Is Hiring Officers
Want to become an officer? Now may be your chance. Orland Park police begin accepting applications Sept. 16.

ORLAND PARK, IL —The Orland Park Police Department will begin accepting applications for testing for new officers beginning Monday, Sept. 16, 2019, at the Orland Park Police Station, 15100 South Ravinia Avenue.
Applications may also be downloaded on the village's website.
Completed applications must be returned to the Orland Park Police Department by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2019.

Mailed applications must be postmarked by Oct. 18, 2019 and sent to Orland Park Police Department; ATTN: Board of Fire and Police Commissioners; 15100 South Ravinia Avenue; Orland Park, IL 60462.
Applicants must be United States citizens, at least 21 years of age and under 35 years of age (except as permitted by statute) and in good physical and mental condition. Applicants are required to have two years (60 semester hours) of college credits, or one and one-half (1½ ) years (45 semester hours) of college credits and one year of continuous active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

The MANDATORY ORIENTATION for prospective police officers will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019. Reporting for applicants whose last name begins A-L begins at 8:15 a.m.; reporting for applicants whose last name begins M-Z begins at 8:30 a.m.
The WRITTEN EXAM will be offered Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019. Both the orientation and the exam will be held at the Orland Park Civic Center, 14750 South Ravinia Avenue.
Applicants will later be required to take and pass the following examinations and tests: written examination, Power Test Card, oral examination, medical and optical examinations, psychological examination and background investigation (including the Police Department Employment Drug Policy).
