Orland Park Shooting Victim Was Mom of 3 Boys, 'Embodied Love': Family
Mechellea "Precious" Williams was found fatally shot in a car in Orland Park Wednesday.
ORLAND PARK, IL — A 28-year-old Chicago woman found shot to death inside a car Wednesday in Orland Park is being remembered as a devoted mother of three and cherished family member.
Mechellea "Precious" Williams "embodied love, life, happiness and family," family wrote in an online fundraiser started to support her sons and family. Williams was found shot in the passenger seat of a car in the 170th block of Rosebud Lane in the early morning hours Wednesday.
She leaves behind three sons Davion (10), Terrence jr (6), and Kaison (10 months), "who will be forever impacted by the unfortunate circumstance," her cousin Breanna Williams wrote in the fundraiser.

"She would move the world for her sons," the victim's grandmother Lorna Williams Welch said during a vigil held Thursday, ABC-7 reports. "She would move the world for her family. If somebody called her and needed her, she was there."
As of Friday, Orland Park police have not released any additional information on the shooting, saying only that the shooter, or multiple shooters, fled the scene. A motive is not yet known.

Williams was a Chicago postal worker, having started only a year ago. She had not yet qualified for life insurance, ABC-7 reports.
The GoFundMe seeks to raise $20,000 to cover funeral costs along with providing care for her three sons. As of Friday, it had raised $3,686.
