Orland Shop Owner Throws Galentine's Event To Thank Supporters

ORLAND PARK, IL — A recently opened shop in Orland Park will host Galentine's Day festivities Saturday, featuring themed activities and complimentary desserts and champagne.

The Holly House Styling & Accessories Shop was born last year when mother and daughter team Becky and Samantha Frontera decided that they wanted to open up a shop that embraces creativity, styling packages, and a unique experience. The shop is intended to be a safe place where creativity can take over and let your imagination run wild, the business said in a release.

On Saturday, Feb. 8, they will host Cisneros Leather Co. for a fun-filled day for gal pals and besties. The event includes crafting cards, designing bracelets, children's activities—and special discounts on select gifts and merchandise.

The Galentine's event runs from 12 to 3 p.m. at the shop, 9959 W. 143rd St., Unit A.

The event is free to attend, and each attendee will receive complimentary champagne and desserts, Samantha Frontera said.

Frontera is offering the vent as a show of gratitude for the community. Her mother suffered a stroke last year, and has lost her ability to walk. The community has shown deep support while her mother recovers, Samantha said.

"I am trying to continue her legacy of the Holly House," Samantha told Patch. "I am here almost everyday working to get in local vendors and help sell their items.

"Every vendor will have discounts that day (Feb. 8). I just really want to do something nice for the community who has so kindly rallied around me during my mom's accident."

The Galentine's event runs from 12 to 3 p.m. at the shop, 9959 W. 143rd St., Unit A.
