Orland Square Mall Remains Closed Tuesday After Civil Unrest
The Simon Property Group has decided to keep the Orland Square Mall closed on Tuesday.

ORLAND PARK, IL â The Orland Square Mall, which has been closed since Sunday due to civil unrest that hit the area, will stay closed on Tuesday. Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau confirmed the mall's decision early Tuesday.
The mall had just reopened after a two-month closure as a result of the coronavirus pandemic a few days ago. Mall officials were not immediately available to discuss whether plans are to reopen on Wednesday or not.
The civil unrest, which has occurred across the country in the days following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, hit both Orland Park and neighboring Tinley Park on Sunday afternoon. Three arrests were confirmed in the area, including one for disorderly conduct at the mall.
