Record-Breaking Sandburg Fall Craft Show Returns for 2025
The Midwest's largest indoor craft show draws thousands of holiday shoppers and features more than 350 booths.

For over 20 years, Carl Sandburg High School has proudly hosted what has become the Midwest’s largest indoor craft show, drawing thousands of holiday shoppers and artisans to Orland Park each year. Organized by the Carl Sandburg Athletic Booster Club, this beloved annual tradition features more than 350 booths of handcrafted, one-of-a-kind items—from woodwork and holiday décor to mouthwatering treats, candles, and more.
Under the leadership of show coordinators Jennifer Farley and Jan Lang, who have been at the helm for the past seven years, the Sandburg Craft Show has evolved into a must-see event in the Chicago suburbs, setting attendance and vendor records over the last 5 years and inspiring an even bigger celebration for 2025.
“We’ve built close relationships with our vendors over the years,” said Jennifer Farley, who is retiring alongside Jan Lang after this year’s event. “Each one of them brings something special to the show. They’re incredibly talented photographers, knitters, potters, glass blowers, crocheters, bakers, artists, and woodworking professionals. It’s an honor to support them as they share their craft with the community. We want to support our vendors and encourage our community to discover these small business owners.”

Farley added, “Organizing this show has been a great joy in our lives. We’ve watched it grow beyond what we ever imagined, thanks to the incredible support of our vendors, volunteers, shoppers, and the Sandburg community. This school means so much to us. It’s where our children grew up, and we’ll always be proud to support it. It’s time for someone else to make it their success, and we’ll be cheering them on every step of the way.”
This event is made possible by the dedicated efforts of the Sandburg Athletic Booster Club, a team of passionate parent volunteers, school administration, and a supportive Board of Directors. Each year, over 500 student-athletes and parent volunteers come together to transform the school into a festive holiday marketplace filled with unique gifts, community, and cheer.

"We are looking forward to a great weekend and hope everyone in the community and beyond keeps this cherished tradition alive," Farley said.
Proceeds from the Craft Show directly benefit Sandburg’s Athletic Department, providing essential funding for equipment, facility improvements, and scholarship opportunities that support hundreds of student-athletes.
