Smash & Grab Crew Hits 2 Orland Park Businesses Overnight: PD

The burglaries happened in the early morning hours Tuesday, police said. Police believe the same crew hit businesses in several other towns.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Park police are investigating after two local businesses were burglarized by a smash and grab crew in the early morning hours Tuesday, April 18.

Beggars Pizza and Dunkin', both in the 11300 block of 143rd Street, were hit just after 2 a.m. Four suspects got in by smashing through the doors, and made off with cash registers holding minimal amounts of cash, said Commander Ken Rosinski.

Police believe the same group also burglarized businesses in several other towns before and after those in Orland, Rosinski said. Other towns targeted included Chicago Heights, Palos Hills and Worth.

Detectives are investigating and working on descriptions of the suspects, Rosinski said.
