South Suburban Bowling Duo Takes Lead In National Competition

Kyle Krol of Tinley Park and Kyle Damon of Orland Park have been bowling together since high school at Andrew and are now a doubles team.

ORLAND PARK, IL — A south suburban bowling duo is leading the pack at the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships, according to officials.

Kyle Krol of Tinley Park and Kyle Damon of Orland Park bowled 18 strikes combined in the regular doubles section of the competition Saturday.

Both men also competed in the regular singles event. Krol and Damen will compete next as a doubles team on July 18 for the end of the 2022 competition.

Krol and Damen bowled for the Victor J. Andrew Thunderbolts during high school and competed at the state level, winning in 2012.
