St. Michael School To Host Open House

ORLAND PARK, IL — St. Michael Catholic elementary school invites interested families to visit and explore the school during an open house set for Sunday, Jan. 29 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Located at 14355 S. Highland Ave. in Orland Park, the school offers 3- and 4-year-old Preschool (full- and half-day options) alongside its kindergarten through 8th grade advanced curriculum.

"SMS is the beginning of your child’s lifelong educational and spiritual journey," administration said in a release. "The journey is full of hope and promise— a Christ-centered community that provides a caring environment emphasizing academics, moral values, and discipline."

The school is "committed to promoting academic excellence through an integrated, curriculum rooted in Gospel values. The school offers extensive resources including a full-time nurse, school counselor, extended day care, and resource teachers. Students have full access to technology with a 1:1 iPad ratio and Chromebooks; music, art, Spanish, and gym classes contribute to students' well-rounded schedules.

Students are able to participate in a myriad of extracurricular activities, including athletics, robotics, and art clubs. The school also presents parent volunteer opportunities.
