ORLAND PARK, IL — St. Michael Catholic elementary school invites interested families to visit and explore the school during an open house set for Sunday, Jan. 29 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Located at 14355 S. Highland Ave. in Orland Park, the school offers 3- and 4-year-old Preschool (full- and half-day options) alongside its kindergarten through 8th grade advanced curriculum.

"SMS is the beginning of your child’s lifelong educational and spiritual journey," administration said in a release. "The journey is full of hope and promise— a Christ-centered community that provides a caring environment emphasizing academics, moral values, and discipline."

The school is "committed to promoting academic excellence through an integrated, curriculum rooted in Gospel values. Our mission calls us to teach the message of Jesus, to encourage service to others, and to prepare students for lifelong, responsible citizenship. At St. Michael School, we truly believe that 'Jesus is the reason.'

The school offers extensive resources including a full-time nurse, school counselor, extended day care, and resource teachers. Students have full access to technology with a 1:1 iPad ratio and Chromebooks; music, art, Spanish, and gym classes contribute to students' well-rounded schedules.
