Write Better Together at the Library
A writing group convenes at the Orland Park Public Library Wednesday for respectful criticism.

Any writer who says he or she can’t benefit from a second opinion clearly has never faced the wrath of a hardnosed editor.
Or he or she lives in a bubble, in which case that person’s work probably won’t escape that bubble into the hands of potential readers.
The point is, writing gets better with criticism.

But there’s a catch. The criticism needs to be of the constructive nature, meaning the person critiquing also needs to dig deep and put some effort in.
With that in mind, bring your unpolished works to the Orland Park Public Library at 7 p.m. Wednesday for the Writers Group in room 102. Adults 18 and over are welcome.
