2 Hospitalized After Driver 'Did Not See' Car in Lot: Oswego PD

The head-on collision occurred in the parking lot at 2540 Route 30, helmed by Jewel-Osco.

OSWEGO, IL — Two people were hospitalized with injuries after a car crash Thursday evening in a Jewel-Osco parking lot, according to Oswego police.

Around 5:41 p.m., a Jeep, driven by a 38-year-old Oswego woman, was driving westbound through the parking lot at 2540 Route 30, "did not see" a Nissan and proceeded to turn left into a parking aisle, striking the car head-on, police said in the Friday blotter.

The Nissan was driven by a 50-year-old man from Montgomery.

Two passengers of the Nissan were taken to a hospital following the collision. Police spokesperson Cathy Nevara said the injuries were minor.

No citations were issued. Police listed the case as closed on the blotter.
