2 Men Found With Guns In Oswego: Police
Jason W. Merritt, of DeKalb, and Quincy A. Covington, of Oswego, were charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, police said.
OSWEGO, IL — Two were charged with unlawful possession of a firearm Saturday, Oswego police said.
Officers arrested two men at 1:25 a.m. at a gas station convenience store in the 1800 block of Route 30. In a statement, police identified the suspects as Jason W. Merritt, 34, of the 800 block of Kimberly Drive, DeKalb, and Quincy A. Covington, 29, of the 30th block of Waterbury Circle, Oswego.
Both were charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, police said.

Police said Merritt was detained at the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville pending court proceedings. Information on Covington’s custody status is not available.
