OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Police Department enforcement campaign for Thanksgiving yielded 67 citations and two arrests, officials said Tuesday.

"These results reflect our commitment to a safe community," police spokesperson Cathy Nevara said in a statement. "Impaired is impaired, whether you use alcohol, cannabis or other drugs. Combine that with not wearing a seat belt, and the consequences can be deadly. Please buckle up and plan a sober ride every time."

The enforcement was funded by a grant administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
