2 Naperville Adults, 1 Infant Injured In Kendall County Car Crash

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — A Naperville couple and their infant was transported to a Joliet hospital with minor injuries following a crash Wednesday in unincorporated Seward Township, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office reported.

Deputies responded to a traffic crash at the intersection of Ridge Road and Route 52 at 12:20 a.m. Pankaj Gupta, 41, Deepti Gupta, 43, and a 1-year-old, from the 3000 block of Blazingstar Court in Naperville, were transported to Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Joliet by Minooka Fire Protection District paramedics.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash, William O. Merlos Diaz, 37, of the 1000 block of North Leclaire Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, according to the sheriff's office. Diaz was transported to the Kendall County Jail.
