$420 In CBD Products Stolen From Oswego Store
Someone stole $419 in CBD products from the Vitamin Shoppe in Oswego.
OSWEGO, IL — Someone stole over nearly $420 worth of CBD products from a Oswego store, according to police. The theft happened Saturday at the Vitamin Shoppe, Oswego Police said.
At around 4 p.m. Saturday, a person walked in to the store at 2734 Route 34 and made off with $419.95 in CBD products, police said in an incident report. Store workers called police at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
A suspect in the theft is described as a white woman aged approximately 50 years old, standing 5-foot-2 and weighing about 100 pounds, according to police. The woman has brown hair and was see wearing a heavy coat.

CBD is a product of the cannabis that does not produce a high, but is believed to have health benefits.
The CBD incident is just the latest high-profile theft to hit Oswego. Late last month, two women allegedly stole $800 worth of clothes from a local retailer. Also in October, $10,000 worth of construction equipment was taken from a local business. In September, someone stole $95,000 in electronics from the UPS facility in Oswego.
