$50K Damage To Building In Sunday Fire: Oswego Fire District
Even though firefighters made an "aggressive interior attack" to extinguish the flames, no one was injured, the district said.
OSWEGO, IL — A multi-unit commercial building in the Will County portion of the Oswego Fire Protection District sustained a damage of $50,000 after a fire Sunday.
Firefighters responded to the building, located in the 10000 block of Clow Creek Road in the Wheatland Industrial Park, at 12:05 p.m. The building was unoccupied, and they were able to confine the blaze to the one business, the district said. Since there are no fire hydrants along Clow Creek Road in the vicinity of the building, firefighters set up a water tender truck to provide water to fight the fire.
Fire companies entered the unit and "made an aggressive interior attack," the statement from the district said.
