Alleged Starbucks Drive-Through Armed Robber Found in Nebraska: Oswego Police

Local police say the man ordered a coffee before robbing a cashier via the drive-through window.

An Ohio man has been arrested in connection with a June armed robbery at the drive-through of a Starbucks in Oswego.

David J. Kimble, 35, of Cleveland, Ohio, was charged Thursday with two counts of aggravated robbery, according to the Oswego Police Department. Each count is a class 1 felony.

Police say Kimble kicked off his June 20 robbery of the Starbucks at 2750 Route 34 around 5 a.m. by ordering a cup of joe from the drive-through. He then proceeded to the cashier's window, where he demanded money from employees.

"Oswego detectives then traveled to Nebraska in early August in order to interview Kimble, who was in custody at the Buffalo County (Nebraska) Jail on unrelated charges," police said.

The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office subsequently approved the aggravated robbery charges.

Kimble remained in custody Saturday at the Nebraska jail. His bail for the Oswego charges was set at $100,000. He would need to post 10 percent of that value, or $10,000, in order to be released.
