April Offers Recycling Opportunties in Oswego

Just about everything except tube televisions and latex paint will be accepted at events April 9 and 23.

As part of an ongoing effort, the Village of Oswego is bringing together organizations to offer different recycling opportunities.

Starting April 9, two groups will collect Styrofoam and electronics at the public works facility, 100 Theodore Drive from 8 to 11 a.m. This is collaboration of New Life Electronics, which hosts a monthly electronics collection, along with the Earth Care Team at Oswego Presbyterian Church, which offers a quarterly polystyrene collection, according to Aaron Howe, a spokesman for the event.

On April 23, the Environmentally Conscious Oswego Commission will hold its semi-annual event, the Reuse & Recycle Extravaganza from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the same location.
