Best Ice Cream Place Near Oswego: Readers Pick

OSWEGO, IL — We asked Oswego Patch readers this week to give us their best ice cream place recommendations. And the results on your favorite spots are now in.

Illinois native Oberweis, at 2274 US-30 East, was voted in our reader's poll — which ran from last Friday through this Friday — as the best ice cream place near Oswego. Andy's Frozen Custard and Culver's were close runner-ups, though not quite as popular as the reigning Oberweis.

While those three places led the pack as local favorites, La Michoacana, Foxy's in Yorkville and Dairy Queen got nods from Patch readers.

One reader who voted for Oberweis as their favorite says the shop has rich and creamy ice cream with the best flavors. The shop first opened in Aurora, and another reader said they like to support the business since it's so close to home.
