'Bigger And Better' Oswego Literary Fest Takes Place Sunday
More than 50 authors are scheduled to appear at the event on Sunday.

OSWEGO, IL — Oswego's Literary Festival on Sunday will bring over 50 authors to town, giving residents a chance to buy new books and meet their favorite local authors. The book event will feature a number of entertainment options for kids and adults.
This year's event moves to a new location at Oswego Village Hall, after years at the Oswego Public Library. More than 50 authors will be on hand selling books, leading discussions and signing copies, the most authors the event has had, according to the village.
Authors scheduled to participate include Jo Fredell Higgins, a local historian and author of several titles chronicling the history of Naperville, Aurora, Geneva and Montgomery. Ray Ziemer, author of "The Ghost of Jamie McVay," set in the western suburbs, will also be on hand, as will a number of children's authors.

There will be two discussions, led by authors from the Naperville-based book publisher Sourcebooks. Nic Joseph, author of suspense novel "The Night in Question,"will lead a discussion at 11 a.m. At 12:30 p.m., Nancy J. Cavanaugh, author of middle-grade book "Elsie Mae Has Something to Say" will lead a kid-friendly discussion.
Aside from book sellings and discussions, there will be a number of entertainment options for kids and adults alike. There will be a bouncy house for kids, food trucks from TCBY and Umbrella Azul, and live music. There will also be a raffle to win books.

Aspiring writers are also encouraged to attend. They will be able to talk craft with the published writers, find resources to inspire new book projects, and meet representatives from The Republic of Letters, a local writers' studio offering classes and editing groups.
The Oswego Literary Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, at Oswego Village Hall, 100 Parkers Mill, Oswego. Entry is free. Books are available for purchase direct from authors. For more information, check out www.oswegolitfest.com.
