The Bike Rack Will Shutter Oswego Location

The bike repair shop will close its downtown Oswego outpost but continue operating its longtime shop in St. Charles.

OSWEGO, IL — The Bike Rack in Oswego will permanently shut its doors in two weeks, the store announced.

Located at 57 Main St., the bicycle repair shop formerly known as Oswego Cyclery has "faced challenges in finding enough staff to operate," the business wrote in a post Tuesday on Facebook. Its last day in business will be July 15.

"We have appreciated your support and friendship and our commitment to providing you with the best service continues at our St. Charles location," the post reads.

The Bike Rack first opened 50 years ago in St. Charles and in 2023 acquired Oswego Cyclery, which had been operating at the downtown Oswego location since 2004.

"We have appreciated your support and friendship and our commitment to providing you with the best service continues at our St. Charles location," The Bike Rack wrote on Facebook.

The Bike Rack can be found at 2930 Campton Hills Road in St. Charles.
