Why are you running?

When I heard the news of the Incumbent out of the office for 320 days in Florida during a bad winter I decided to get active. I had thought about running 4 years ago, So, August 2015 I decided to run. I went to the Supervisor Jim Detzler and the trustees to tell them I was running and that I would do the job for less.

I have the drive to serve the Oswego Township because my family and I have a great history of public service here and in the surrounding community’s. As far back as 90 years ago, when my Grandmother became the first Lady police and probation officer of Oswego and my Grandfather was one of the first police marshals. My father Dave was a policeman, fireman and operating partner of K.R.&G. Excavating. The Rogersons and extended family have been vested into this community for decades.

Previous or Current Elected or Appointed Office: None

What do you hope to accomplish in office?

To earn the trust back of the tax payers and save taxes by doing more projects in house. I have pledged to dissolve my business and I will be doing this job full time to make these things happen.
I have signed the petition at the Township for residency, correct hiring practices and nepotism. I would be more active in the community than the incumbent has been and lead by example on doing the right thing for this community.

How would you hold local government employees accountable?

If there are any unethical things happening and if policies and procedures are not being followed than the Township Attorney or States Attorney will need to investigate and hold whomever is liable to the full extent of the law. I hold my self to a higher standard and am accountable for my actions. I expect those around me to do so as well!

Explain your attitudes toward fiscal policy, government spending and how taxpayer dollars should be handled by your office (or board)?

Checks and balances need to be done on a daily basis. Budgets are balanced and should remain balanced. The board and I will work together to Conservatively manage our tax dollars and keep the tax levy stable. I feel a yearly audit by an outside firm would be beneficial for the transparency of the Township.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I was an Estimator & Project Manager for one of the largest construction companies in the area. It was my responsibility to acquire public bid contracts while implementing budget and engineering projects. I have owned and operated two successful business. Currently, Rogerson Drywall has been operating since 2008. I have always been in the black and never had to borrow money for payroll or equipment. My books are always reconciled to the penny. I'm rated as one of the best service companies in the area and surrounding areas. Track record and reviews.

What else would you like voters to know about you and your positions?

MY TOP PRIORITIES:

Be accessible and accountable to Oswego Township Taxpayers
I will Operate our Township in the most cost efficient way
I will obtain multiple quotes or bids for purchases, repairs and contracted services
Will work to improve our roads, sidewalks and services
Will lead by example to bring the code of ethics and integrity back to this office.
