OSWEGO, IL — Oswego officials cut the ribbon on the village's "new sugar rush destination."

Candy Cloud is expected to open Wednesday at 2832 Route 34, neighboring Bibibop Asian Grill and Sherwin Williams. City officials gathered at the dessert haven on Tuesday morning for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The specialty cafe serves coffee, boba, lemonade, blended drinks, shakes, layered ice cream and other sweet delights. Despite what its name might suggest, diners will also be able to indulge in breakfast, lunch and snacks, including grilled cheese and pretzel bites.

Another new restaurant is expected to open soon in downtown Aurora. Currently undergoing its buildout, Taco Dale is expected to open later this summer in the former Tap House Grill Space on Washington Street, Patch reported.
