One homeowner got a rude awakening Tuesday morning.

At about 6:40 a.m. a car crashed into a home in the 50 block of Circle Drive West in Boulder Hill, according to Sheriff's Deputy Bryan Harl.

The incident was reported as a vehicle vs. structure accident.

However, the vehicle was not to be found at the scene.

“The homeowner realized there was a lot of damage to his house and realized a car had hit it,” said Harl.

Harl said Sheriff’s deputies were able to “follow tracks” to a car that was “beat up” and made an arrest.

The subject has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident, said Harl.
