Fire At Oswego House 'Sounded Like Explosions': Fire Department
Two people were treated at the scene and released after the Saturday night fire, officials said.
OSWEGO, IL — Two people were injured after a fire broke out Saturday night at a two-story house in the 200 block of South Adams Street, the Oswego Fire Protection District said.
Callers reported the blaze to KenCom at about 6:09 p.m., saying they heard glass breaking and "what sounded like explosions," according to a news release. The first units to arrive saw smoke coming from the residence.
To extinguish the fire, crews stretched a hose line through the front door while others made sure the home was clear of any residents. Firefighters overhauled the property to ensure the fire had not spread and was completely extinguished.
