Five New Cases Of Coronavirus Confirmed In Kendall County
The new crop of coronavirus cases brings the confirmed total to 25. Of those, two people have reportedly died from the disease.
KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Health Department announced Tuesday that it had confirmed five more cases of coronavirus among county residents. These newest cases include four women aged between their 20s and their 50s, and a man in his 60s. Two people have reportedly died from coronavirus in the county; including them, there have been a total of 25 confirmed cases since the crisis began.
Of the 25 affected individuals, 12 have been men and 13 have been women. The age divide between them has also been split almost almost evenly six ways by decade, with people in their 50s accounting for the largest portion of cases by a small margin. In total, three people in their 70s have been confirmed to have the virus, along with five people in their 60s, six people in their 50s, four people in their 40s, three people in their 30s, and four people in their 20s. Thus far, no one under twenty has been confirmed to have the virus.
The U.S. continues to lead the world in coronavirus cases. At the latest count there over 5,000 cases in Illinois alone, part of at least 164,785 cases nationally.

The county health department, along with county fire chiefs and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, continues to urge people to regularly wash their hands, sanitize high-use surfaces, stay at home whenever possible and practice social distancing when going out is unavoidable.
