Friday is the Last Day to "Fill the Boot"
All proceeds go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Friday, Aug. 30 is the last day to "Fill the Boot" in Oswego.
The Oswego Fire Protection District is doing their annual "Fill the Boot" campaign to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Last year Lt. Travis Martinez said the OFPD collected $17,030, which exceeded their goal of $15,000.
"As a community, we have met or exceeded our goal every year for the last 10 years. All credit goes to the community based on the fact that they are the ones who put their hard earned money in the boot," said Martinez.
This year the department's goal is to raise $20,000 and they have one last day to try to reach that goal.
The firefighters will be collecting from 3:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30 at the following Oswego intersections:
- Douglas and Route 30
- Route 34 and Orchard
- Route 71 and Washington/Plainfield
- Wolf and Route 30
