OSWEGO, IL — Oswego police uncovered two loaded guns after being called to the 500 block of Chestnut Drive Monday morning for a report of a "suspicious vehicle," officials said.

Tytis D. Givan, a 19-year-old resident of Oswego, and 18-year-old Tyrell I. Mays, of Montgomery, were each charged with five counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

Officers responded to the area for a noise complaint about a car "unknown to the area." The caller said two people had been parked on the road for about 20 minutes playing loud music, according to a news release. While talking to the men, the "officer's alertness led to the discovery" of a handgun, and soon after, a second firearm, according to police.

Police said the men were charged with felonies since they had uncased, loaded and immediately accessible handguns in a car under the age of 21 and without valid concealed carry licenses or Firearm Owners Identification cards.

Police took both men into custody at the Oswego Police Department, where they were booked and processed before they were taken to the Kendall County jail to await a pre-trial hearing Wednesday morning.
