It's almost time for kids to head back to school. To prepare for the upcoming school year, we've compiled a list of important dates for 2016-2017 calendar year:
Community Unit School District 308
- Full-Day Student Attendance (Grade 1 through 12) - Aug. 17
- Kindergarten - First Day of Student Attendance - Aug. 19
- Labor Day - No School / District Closed - Sept. 5
- No School - Pre-Kindergarten - Sept. 6
- Teacher Institute Day (Students are not in attendance) - Sept. 23
- Columbus Day - No School / District Closed - Oct. 10
- No School - Pre-K thru 8th Grade - Nov. 4
- Thanksgiving Break - Nov. 23-25
- Winter Break - No School - Dec. 22 - Jan. 6
- MLK Day - Jan. 16
- No School - Pre-Kindergarten (only) - Feb. 9
- President's Day - Feb. 20
- 4 Hour: Student Attendance - School Improvement Day - March 10
- Spring Break (District Open) - March 27-31
- No School - Pre-Kindergarten (only) - April 12
- Teacher Institute Day (Students are not in attendance) - April 13
- No School - District Closed - April 14
- Last Day of School - Pre-Kindergarten (only) - May 25
- Last Day of School - 4 Hour Student Attendance - May 26
