Joliet Man Charged in Battery at Business

Police: Bristol woman inappropriately touched.

Oswego Police wrapped up a nearly two-month investigation into a battery that occurred in May at a business in the Mason Square shopping center at 2700 Route 34. Police did not release the name of the business.

Arturo Carlos, 43, of the 8000 block of Seaton Avenue in Joliet was charged with one count of battery stemming from an incident in which he allegedly inappropriately touched a 22-year-old Bristol woman at about 10 a..m. May 17, according to an Oswego Police news release. The woman did not require medical attention.

A warrant was issued for Carlos, and he turned himself into Oswego Police Friday, the release said. Bond was set at $20,000, and Carlos was released after paying 10 percent bail. He was given a July 27 court date.
